Upton FC P-P FC Village

The Village turned up for their return match against Upton FC down at Upton Park to find that the home side only had 1 player and it was less than half an hour to go to kick off. The ref had already made a pitch inspection and was going to move the game to a secondary pitch when he announced that he would give Upton until kick off time to see if they could muster the required 7 players needed to start the match. 3:00 came and they now had 6 players but after another five minutes it was obvious that no one else was coming so he called the game off and we presume the two points will be coming to the Village. The Village themselves were somewhat disappointed they couldn't play the game as the really wanted to get out on the pitch because of what had happened in their previous encounter and show their opponents that they held no grudges and would beat them by playing good football. Alas it was off back home but at least the team should collect another two points whcih keeps them top of the pile for the moment.
