09/07/10 News: FC Village in Chester League
The Village were accepted in to the Chester & District League at the AGM on June 28th and were placed in Division 3 along with 5 other new sides and 4 exisitng teams. The other new clubs are Newton (Wirral), Barcode FC, Sutton Way Villa Res, Zone Fitness & Lache FC. The four exisiting teams are Boughton Ath (relegated from Div 2) and Crossways Res, Barrow Ath Res and Vicars Cross Vets who were all in Div 3 last season. The season begins on Sat August 21st.


09/07/10 News: Village back training
The Village started back pre-season training on Wed 30th June and had 17 for that first session. With several of the players who work away or do lates during the week this was a good turn out. The squad it seems will be made up from several experienced players, Village stalwarts and a crop of young new lads. Training is held every Wednesday between 7-8 at the Village Hotel's all weather pitch.


09/07/10 News: Village apply to join League
The Village have applied to join the Monday night 6-a-side Champion Soccer League at Pensby School when it restarts sometime in August. Having played in the Football Mundial League for the last 2 season they decided to return to the Champion Soccer League.


09/07/10 News: Chester League hold AGM
The Chester & District League held its AGM on June 28th where they accepted 6 new teams including FC Village in to the League and then gave out the new League structure due to promotions, relegations, resignations and new applicants. Click here for set up.


13/07/10 News: First friendly announced
The Village arranged their first friendly of this new era with a match against Rileys on Thur 15th July down at Linksview with a kick-off time of 6:30pm.


23/07/10 News: 2 new signings
The Village are relying on youth for the coming season as they have signed 6 teenagers in Matty Hill, Tom Briggs, Josh Dunroe, Adam Coulls, Mike Neish & Tom Twells. Matty & Tom were pictured with their new shirts showing their squad number just before they signed for the club.
