04/02/11 News: CDFL results for Sat Jan 29th
There were just 2 League games due to the cold snap and wins for Barcode and FC Village both down at Plymyards sees both sides make in roads on the top teams. Barcode overcame Peacock Res 4-2 and the Village beat Barrow Ath Res 6-3 and play them again straight away this coming Saturday.


07/02/11 News: CDFL results for Sat Feb 5th
There were just 2 League game due to the rain and some cup matches as Zone Fitness and FC Village close the gap on the leaders. Zone Fitness beat bottom side Boughton Ath whilst the Village completd the double over Barrow Ath Res.


08/02/11 News: Baby boy arrival

Congratulations to Booey and Callie on the birth of baby Thomas born on 7/2/11 and weighing in at 8 pounds 3.


14/02/11 News: CDFL results for Sat Feb 12th
There was nearly a full program this week as only Lache and FC Village didn't play. The top two extended their lead at the top as Newton beat bottom side Boughton Ath and Zone Fitness just edged out Barcode with the only goal of the game. Peacock 09 won the battle of the reserves as they beat Crossway and the two sides above the bottom team Barrow Ath Res and Groves Celtic shared the points.


16/02/11 News: March fixtures
The fixtures for March are now out and first up for the Village is the return game away to Groves Celtic follwed by the same with Barocde Ath. Then currently there is a free week but this must surely be when the next round of the Northern Cup will be played. Finally the side return to Levers for the home fixture with Zone Fitness.


21/02/11 News: CDFL results for Sat Feb 19th
There was nearly a full program this week as just Newton and Barrow didn't play. The teams in 3rd, 4th and 5th place all made ground on the top two as Lache, FC Village and Barcode all won especially as Zone Fitness lost to the Village for only their second defeat of the season. The other game saw Groves Celtic move up one place as they beat Peacock 09 Res.


22/02/11 News: Northern Cup draw
The draw for the Northern Cup quater finals has been made and the Village get a home tie against Cardinal Newman from the Liverpool Old Boys League. Tie to be played Sat 19th Mar.


28/02/11 News: CDFL results for Sat Feb 26th
There were only 2 games as the weather once again affected some games. FC Village moved in to 3rd place with a 6-0 win over Peacock Res 09 and Barcode joined them on 23 pts with a 10-0 demolition of bottom side Boughton Ath.


28/02/11 News: Oct/Nov awards
The Oct/Nov awards for Player of the Month & Goal of the Month were eventually handed as Leigh Hutton won Player for a superb display in defence and Billy Devey(again) got Goal, this time for his wonder strike that won the Northern Cup game at Atherton but it was as much about Josh's cross as the shot. A truly great goal.
