Game 7.
For the second game running the Village had to start the game with 5 players as Adam, TT and Mike were all late. With Billy injured the team called up Leigh Hutton for his first game but the side were unable to stop New England from virtually winning the match before the others arrived as they scored 2 early goals. Once back to a level numbers the game was even with the Village enjoying more of the play. They started to create chances but found the opposing keeper in fine form who kept them at bay till half time. When Adam pulled one back at the start of the second half you just felt the team were going to draw level but New England made it 3-1 before Josh reduced the arrears again. Adam then smashed a shot against the bar as the Village surged forward but they were caught out just before the end on a breakaway for a final scoreline of 2-4. Had they started the game with a full side then things may well have turned out different.
Team Line-up: Hill(J), Coulls, Hutton, Hill(M), Dunroe, Briggs, Neish, Twells
Game 8.
With Steve, Jamie and Matty all away it was left to Josh to sort things out and what a job he did. He drafted in keeper Mike Hawkins with Maggot and Harper both getting rare runouts. They were up against new side FC Carlett who have taken over from Bayer Neverlusen and this was a tough baptism to the top division. Maggot joined the list of top goalscorers in just one game as he bagged four, Billy joined him with his second brace in two games as did Josh, Adam & TT who all netted singles which just left Harper getting his first of the campaign in the 10-0 romp.
Team Line-up: Hawkins, Coulls, Twells, Dunroe, Briggs, Devey, Eaton, Harper
Game 9.
This was a game that the Village should have won but they just couldn't score. For the first of three cup games in a mini league the side were up against Underdogs who started the game with 2 'guest' players as they were short. This proved crucial as one of them, a keeper kept the Village at bay with several good saves. They finally got their players but the Village scored through Billy. the Underdogs got an equaliser from a breakaway but when Adam put the village ahead again the result seemed a formality. But they just couldn't get the other goal, lost Billy to an injury and then a mistake from Jay led to a second equaliser and the supposed win turned in to a draw.

Game 10.
With 9 regulars missing the side at one point only had 3 players in Matty, Briggs and Maggot and were thankful that Allan Edwards, James Sadler and Jord Basch helped them out. They may have lost the game but were unlucky not to get a point from it. With Allan going in goal and James and Jord settling in it came as no surprise that they were soon a goal down. However straight from the restart the side got a corner and the Hoylake keeper let Maggot's inswinger go straight through his hands. Hoylake soon regained the lead and then came the crucial moment of the game as the Hoylake keeper made a great save from Briggs. By half time the Village had let another 2 goals in and so trailed 1-4 and swapped Matty around with Allan in goal. This seemed to give them more balance in the side and they dominated the majority of the half. When Allan powered in a great shot they thought they might salvage something especially as they didn't look like conceeding with Matty pulling off a couple of good saves. They pressed the Hoylake goal and Maggot scored a third with a superb volley but they just didn't have enough in them to get that equaliser. However a great second half and they go in to their final cup match knowing nothing but a win will do.
Team Line-up: Edwards, Sadler, Basch, Hill(M), Briggs, Eaton
Game 11.
The Village won their final cup match which they had to do to stand a chance of progressing through to the Cup Finals night. For this game against Bromborough the side saw the return of 5 players who joined Matty and Briggs with Matty starting off in goal this week. The game was won in the first 5 minutes as the Village stormed in to a three goal lead thanks to Billy, TT and Josh. Adam soon made it 4-0 before Bromborough pulled a goal back just before half time. The second half saw Bromborough score two more goals but each tome they did the Village restored their three goal advantage through Josh and Billy to double their tallys. Adam had the final say as he completed his brace with a great free kick. The team now hope they are one of the best runners up so that they can play in the Cup finals night.
Team Line-up: Hill(M), Coulls, Twells, Dunroe, Briggs, Devey, Neish
Game 12.
Back to the League and the Village put in probably their best performance of the campiagn as they beat Aston Gorilla in style and had the Gorilla goalie not put in a top performance the tally of goals could well have been doubled. Having lost to them by 0-4 earlier in the year the Village knew this would be a tough game but they went out with the right attitude all the way through the team. They attacked and defended in numbers when needy and thoroughly deserved the win. They had come close a couple of times before Josh volleyed home in style and Jack in goal for his first game made a great save before Gorilla equalised. However the Gorilla keeper made two great saves before Neish beat him just before half time to give the Village a 2-1 lead. Neish increased the lead soon after the turn around before Gorilla made it 2-3 but Adam almost immediately restored their 2 goal advantage and after that there was no way back. Neish completed his hat-trick before Gorilla scored a third and Adam finished things off with his second of the game for a final score of 6-3.
Team Line-up: Hughes, Hill(M), Coulls, Sadler, Dunroe, Briggs, Neish
