Report: FC Village 1 Lache 3

The Village crashed out of the Tom Gerraghty Memorial Trophy at the first attempt in a hard fought match against fellow Div2 Lache. For the second week running the Village lost a first choice defender to injury as Nick joined Leigh Houghton on the long term list and were forced to play two defenders themselves carrying injuries. Fortunately Leigh Hutton was available for a couple of weeks and he and new signing Damian McGregor, in an unfamiliar role of full back joined Peter V and Paul in the back four. Otherwise the rest of the side was made of the usual suspects with Matty back in attack alongside Porky and they had a full bench as Carl and Maggot returned to join Sean, Neish and Beren.
